today is a one slow day of all days at work. my patience was tested the moment i entered my office this morning, switched on my laptop and do my usual work. try connecting... trying to get connected.. trying to be connected... and *toot the toot*... connection either slow or failed!!! When connection is slow, my work pun jadi slow la kannn.
connection hari ni memang menguji kesabaranku. i cant do my work, i cant check my inbox and took forever to display certain websites. bengang seiii!! so during lunch time, i was totally bored, i called dear hubby, see if we can have lunch together but he was still in shah alam. so nak keluar lunch pun malas. end up makan biskut dengan nescafe. boleh la...
nasib baik la i ni seorang insan yang penyabar, kalau tak... ada yg laptop ni kena campak.. tak la macam ada orang tu la kannnn. Almost...

school on saturday...
yes... school on 2 saturdays, 26 july & 9 aug, to replace 2-day holiday for a 1-week of hari raya in october this year.
so last saturday, both went to school. adli went for cricket's players selection under-10 at usj school in subang, while adam with his morning rugby practise. for the past 1 month, adam has been going for rugby practise in the morning and evening. for morning practise, he skips few hours of studying. the rugby game will be this week, not sure when and where as i havent got a letter from the school. i'm hoping to be able to watch the game as i missed adli's cricket games.
so here i am... a little 'kelam-kabut' on time management, juggling working and family life, trying not to miss both. well, that's life of a working mom...!!

more gifts...
for the past few years, when comes to hari raya, i would normally buy a ready-made baju kurung. this year, i'm going to wear a kebaya. must visit my tailor in klang for a nice nyonya kebaya.
so i gave this aunty tailor a buzz, to make sure her tailor shop still exist since i havent been there for few years. yess!!! she's still there and still remember me... well, only after i mentioned arwah my mom's name. but she has moved to lorong tapah, klang (near the tabung haji and the old ocean mall.. where the heck is that???) help!!.. anyone from klang??
i also have a nice abstract-designed batik, which was given by my aunt, 11 years ago, as a hantaran for my hubby during our akad nikah. i'm still thinking what to do with it.
today, i received a gift from my boss' sister, a doctor who is staying in canada, and she's here visiting her family for a few weeks.
i took it out and i got these... estee lauder makeup.
long lasting lipstick, nail lacquer, magnascopic mascara,

hot with telco at pyramid...
since last thursday nite lg, i dah hot with this one guy from a telco centre at pyramid tu. not hot for him but hot like burning him. i went there for sim card replacement, which is supposed to be registered under my name, but he gave me someone's number. silly fellow. mmg originally it was registered under my name but i lost the mobilephone and blocked it. after several months later, only last thursday baru i nak replace, not knowing that within 3 months i have to replace a new one or the telco will release it to other people. yg fellow ni dah tau this number dah registered under org lain, why the hell dia release it to me. tak efficient langsung dude. so this morning, i had to go back to pyramid and get new number. tension tul la...
anyway, since i kat pyramid already, i singgah la wendy's. first time makan kat situ kan... not bad eh the food. i love the baked potato with broccoli and cheese tu.. harus pergi lagi...
owh today is my MIL's birthday. happy birthday ye mama.. semoga panjang umur dan dimurahkan rezeki.. amin....

The 3D journey to the center of the earth
when people bz going to work and children to school on every thursday, my other half - shah, would be relaxing at home. That is the only off day he gets after 6 days working. so yesterday, i took a day leave and join him for the day. our day started after sending the kids to school in the morning, do some banking business at taipan and then headed to sunway pyramid for a nice breakfast at delifrance and a little shopping spree. By 12noon, we were on the road back to shah alam to fetch the kids at school. we had a quick lunch at midvalley and by 2.45pm, we were already in the 3D hall GSC for a 3D experience of journey to the center of the earth.
The movie opening was already effectual, watching a cockroach creeping towards the audience. interestingly, the story centred more on the 3 characters, stucked in a cave, and as they were trying to find their way out, they actually end up going further and deeper toward the center of the earth. this is where the adventure parts started. the 3D effect was great with various adventures throughout the journey; on sea, land, and air, from fantasy land and to a land of jurassic. there's comical and fun scenes too. i like the part when a cute luminescent bird shaking its head watching the boy jumping across an abyss, from one floating rock to another. and the scene that caught me jumping on my seat when they were on the sea fighting the pirahnas. it went straight towards us. a great and fun movie to watch for everyone at all ages. watch it on 3D-effect ok.
habis movie, shopping bagai, each of us got what we want and dinner at chili's. on the way home, singgah subang parade pulak, shopping lagi baru balik.
ok i'm done.. have a good weekend!!!

hot news and recession
when i received this email that was forwarded by my fren, i wonder how reliable and trustful this information can be??..

HOT NEWS
23 companies was planned to shutdown their operation in Malaysia due to resources cost by end of this month. Now, Singapore have a great opportunity to attract more investors to invest in their country. This is time for Malaysians to get ready for unpredictable situation especially for those whom working in factory or production company. Last Friday, some of companies directors had discussion regarding this issue. The inflation might be increase for this year.
The recession looks very eminent. It is really time to take pro-active steps to avoid a painful time in the next two years which is how long the recession is expected to last.
Suggestions:
1. Don't take any loans, buy homes, properties with loans, or even cash. Keep as much cash as possible. (i baru berangan to buy a house... so now what??!!)
2. Pay off as much of personal loans, private loans, as debt collection will be hastened. (ok checked...)
3. Sell any stocks you can even at lower prices. (i ada chicken stock jer!!)
4. Take money off from Trust Funds. (unit trust sama ke dgn trust funds??)
5. Don't believe in huge sales forecast from customers, be extremely prudent, lowest inventories, reduce liabilities. (not relevant..)
6. Don't invest in new capital. (also no relevant...)
7. If you are selling homes/properties/cars, do it now, when you can get good prices, they are going to fall. (buyers takde, camne nak sell...)
8. Don't invest in new business proposals. (MLM pun business gak kan...)
9. Cancel holiday plans using credit cards. (i dont use cc anymore, cash only)
10. Don't change jobs, as companies will retrench based on 'last in first out'. (baru plan nak change job next year.. how la??!!)
Stay cool, wait, and if you took all of the above actions and more, you probably will be better off then many.
This is not a rumor. Bear Stearns is the first of many banking and financial institutions that will start falling in the not too future. If Bear Stearns can fall, so can JP Morgan, Citibank, HSBC, and the whole world. US economy falls, the rest will crumble. India and all those self economies will be the most protected, but not gullible. Europe may be a little stronger, but not China, another giant! Malaysia will see significant impact.
************
with all the suggestions above, are we anticipating for better or worse, with the current situation going on in our government??
PEACE!!!....

Adam... adam....
when i got home from work yesterday, adam told me he was called to discipline room. one of his friend's father reported that few of his son's friends borrowed his money and adam was in the list. i was taken aback and confronted him. he confessed that few months back, he did borrow few ringgit to buy food at the canteen after school because he spent all his money during the recess and before going home, he felt hungry and borrowed them, on different occassion. well adam.. you've made your parents very very upset. last night his dad gave piece of his mind. it was an emotional night for all of us.
so this morning, i went with hubby to the school, met with his discipline teacher and was told the whole situation. apparently, his friend's father reported that his son took/stole few hundreds from the parent's wallet and spent on his friends. they spent on mcd, bicycle parts and other things. what really shocking was they even bought cigarettes!!! omg.. what has happened to the kids nowadays??!!! i was really relieved when adam told me he was not part of the group and the teacher confirmed it. the money he borrowed was the least, compared to the others, which i cant tell the figure but it was quite surprising to hear. however, least or not, he should have told me about it. of course, we paid what he owed.
we were also told that his friend comes from a wealthy family, and the boy willing to spent just to be part in a group. it's like buying friendship. the more you give, the more you get. well, i know adam learnt his lesson and he promised that this will never happen again. it happened to him, just like being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
