Alahai IRB....

ever since IRB implemented the e-filing system, i always thought it's a good thing for the taxpayers. i've done mine and it's easy and convenient. when i read in papers about IRB will be implementing a quick refund for excess payments recently, i thought they are really serious in improving their tax compliance.

when hubby got a letter and a cheque for tax refund from the IRB last few days, i was like... wah!! they are getting efficient in refunding, rather than just taking... right!! so i thought i'll be getting mine in the next few days la. instead, one fine day, IRB letter came with subject: BAKI CUKAI PENDAPATAN. you know what that means... i need to pay outstanding amount for year 2003...

apa kes??!! baru sekarang nak bagitau ada tertunggak... for the past 5 years, you all buat apa?... kalau camni, i bayar lepas 5 years boleh??? hmmm..... tension gue..

got lost ...

hubby and i went to putrajaya this morning for immigration matter and left early in the morning right after sending adam and adli to school. well, actually we had to drop by at my office in pj coz i left the documents there. gosh!! my memory getting poor la. luckily, there was no traffic from pj to putrajaya through the lpd route.

we arrived putrajaya around 845am and finding the government complexes at presint 2 was quite easy, thanks to the well-arranged signboards. the surroundings is really impressive, very well planned, clean and peaceful. i like it very much. i've been there few times but going to the government area is my 1st time ever. to reach there, we crossed this seri wawasan bridge, which is the landmark in putrajaya, that linked the government area and the residential area. there are 2 rows of buildings left and right, with unique and different designs of each buildings. me being the co-pilot, had to guide hubby for directions, which route to take. for this, my head was looking around up and down, left and right, searching for jabatan imigresen. and i think i twisted my neck and now it's aching.

finally, we found the building, search for the parking that took us about 15 mins coz most of the parking lots are reserved. we got upset, parked at side way and went up the building. surprisingly, it took us less than 1/2 hour to settle at the immigration office. feeling excited, we left the building, hoping to have our breakfast somewhere there but no cafe/shops were seen. must be located at the other presint.... i dont know. so we decided to just head straight to bangsar.

following the signboards to kl, we went round and round taking longer ways to reach bangsar. from upm exit serdang, then seri kembangan, then kuchai lama (yg tak pernah2 sampai) then sri petaling, made u-turn and finally saw bangsar signboard and at last, we exited the npe hiway after going thru 3 tolls... we reached bangsar nearly 1030am. after breakfast, i headed back to office.

there goes my half day on the road... failed!!!

adam's & adli's party...

like most years, their birthday will be celebrated together since their birth date is just a few days from each other - adam on march 30th while adli on april 3rd. adam is now 10 and adli is 9 yrs old. this year, i decided to celebrate their birthday by the pool side at my sister tini's apt in bkt jelutong, on april 5th from 3pm to 6pm. as my mind was all set to that date, i totally forgot to wish adam on his actual birthday when we were at country villas kajang. only the next day while we were having our breakfast that i remembered. how forgetful i am nowadays.

on the party day, i was so glad that friends and relatives came despite the heavy pours. yes, it was raining just like other days especially on the late afternoon but grateful the rain last for an hour. while it was pouring outside, hubby organized indoor games for the kids. they played 5 games - passing a balloon, dancing on paper, string solving, passing words and dancing statue. they had fun great time, all trying their best to win prizes. hubby is great with the kids and such a good coordinator especially when managing an event. around 5pm, the rain stopped and the kids went splashing for an hour before the party ends.

all food were home made - my dad cooked spaghetty, tini made sandwiches, while hubby and i, together we cooked chinese fried chinese, fried chickens, sausages, fishballs and served mixed fruits. as for the birthday cake, it was deliciously made by
zura.

by 7pm, we managed to clean up the party area. i went to tini's place for a short rest, after being a supermom for a day, but fell asleep.. so we end up spent a night there. what most important is the kids happy and enjoyed their party...

Country Villas Kajang

the weekend of March 30th, after adam's sports day, we went to my brother's house in bkt jelutong for his daughter's birthday. from bkt jelutong, we went straight to kajang for our 2 nights get-away at country villas kajang with my PIL. we reached there quite late almost 6pm, so nothing much we could do except enjoying the greenery and panoramic view at the resort.

the villa is located in the center of country height kajang, a guarded area full of luxury properties. all the way to the villa, we were fascinated with beautiful mansions that make us go ooohhs and aaahhs. as stated, these villas are designed with a mediterranean style. it is a very peaceful and quiet area, surrounded by beautiful landscaped and scenic lakes and garden. each villa comes with a covered porch, a full kitchen, dining and living area, equipped with TV and fully air-conditioned. it is very cosy and spacious, consist of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathroom.

on the 2nd day, we went to alamanda for lunch, which is about 15 mins drive from the villa. we had lunch and shopped at carrefour. later that day, we brought the kids for a swim, then bought dinner and watched the ABPBH'08.

it was a nice short break from hustle and bustle, spending relaxing days with my family. i wish i could stay a little longer....

adam's sports day 2008

earlier sport games held during school last week, adli participated in run-in-gunny sack and won 2d place while adam participated in field events and won 1st place in high jump. in tug-of-war/rope pulling, adam and his team won 2nd place.

and last saturday, the annual sports day was held at matsushita stadium in sect 21, shah alam. the event started at 8am and finished at 1pm. by 715am, i was already there as adam had to get ready for the events, which was TKRS (tunas kadet remaja sekolah) marching unit as the front line holding TKRS banner. his team won best marching award for the 4th consecutive year. congrats!!!

he also participated in running track for 100m, 4 x 100m and 4 x 200m. he won 3rd place in 4 x 200m but lose the other two track events. in between the events, there were 2 performances by the pom-pom girls and taekwando students. end of track events, hubby and i participated in parents vs teachers game - a short track running with cone-pass-baton kind of game. our team won 1st prize and each received a foldable chopping board. not bad eh!

after the annoucement for best male and female athlete, adam whispered me... "mama, one day i want to be an athlete, just like that boy (who won best male athlete). of course dear! one day you will...


the 1 club shanghai night

every year, the one club from saujana hotel hosted appreciation dinner. and last friday, the dinner was held at saujana ballroom with 'shanghai night' as this year's theme. most of the invitees came wearing beautiful traditional chinese attires. i must say traditional clothes nowadays have become elegant and fashionable, made from those embroidered to the bling bling. so the lady in bling bling cheongsam won the best-dressed prize.

dinner was served buffet, plenty with varieties delicious food. i ate almost all that were served, which i lost count on how many times i was in and out the ballroom for the food. we were entertained with chinese dancing performances, game activities and lucky draws. i was holding 'james bond' lucky draw number 007 and was lucky to win a prize sponsored by avon. i got 2 lipsticks, a deodorant roll and spray, hand and body lotion and vouchers.


at the end of this 'shanghai night', we were given a door gift pack consist of a small chinese bag/tote together with lancome miniature products, a cute wooden well and, cleo and feng shui mag. since i went with dear hubby and he got one too, eventually.. all become mine...:D (i'll upload the photos later)
